Logan's Law
Logan's Law is a Georgia law that went into effect in early 2023 to help first responders provide more compassionate assistance to people with special needs in emergency situations. The law creates a voluntary database of residents with special needs that first responders can access when responding to calls. The database can help first responders become aware of potential triggers that could overwhelm someone with special needs. This form and information is to help first responders help those that can't provide information for themselves.
Elder Information
We have an emergency information form for Wayne County residents. Through the use of this form, you and other family members will be able to provide public safety and health care professionals important information in an emergency situation. When 911 emergency help is called, information on the form advises the paramedics who should be called and what medications have been prescribed by your physician. Consider investing a few moments to complete the form then print, fold, and attach to your refrigerator.

Georgia protects the right to bear arms under Article I, Section I of the state constitution, but this does not mean that everyone may carry a gun, or that you may always carry a gun wherever you like. Georgia requires a weapons carry license to openly carry a weapon, or to carry a concealed weapon on (or near) your body.
There are many different reasons why you might be stopped by one of our deputies. Whatever the reason, the deputy needs your cooperation. Traffic stops are stressful for drivers and lawmen alike. Just last year, for example, seven lawmen were killed during traffic stops. It is important to know what to do when stopped.
